Luke Harris brings a lifetime of handson land experience and a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors to his Land Specialist role at America’s Land Partners. Based in Floyd, Virginia, Luke’s career is built on a rare combination of academic training, field expertise, and entrepreneurial success.
Luke earned his fouryear forestry degree from Virginia Tech and went on to spend eight years as a consulting forester, working directly with landowners on timber, hardwood, and loblolly pine management. His background also includes three years on a hotshot wildland fire crew and professional hardwood timber cutting beginning at age sixteen in his family’s logging business in Craig County, Virginia. These early experiences shaped his work ethic and gave him a groundlevel understanding of land that few in the industry can match.
Alongside his forestry career, Luke built and operates Country Land Group, a business that grew to a team of more than seventeen people. Over ten years, he gained extensive experience in owner financing, entitlement, and land development—including completing his own 27lot entitlement project in WinstonSalem, North Carolina.
Driven, persistent, and solutionsoriented, Luke is known for pushing hard and refusing to let obstacles stand in the way of serving his clients. He chose to join America’s Land Partners because of its landfocused mission, strong tools, and agentcentered model, and because its' values mirror his own. Transparency, trustworthiness, and topnotch service guide every interaction he has with buyers, sellers, and fellow landowners.
When he’s not walking properties or meeting new clients, you’ll find Luke outdoors; tending his fruit orchard and garden, hunting, fishing, hiking, or spending time with his wife of ten years and their five young children. He’s a landowner himself and believes deeply in the stewardship, opportunity, and legacy that land provides.
