Daniel’s roots run deep in Weston, West Virginia, where he was introduced to hunting by his father at the age of three. By seven, he was venturing into the woods on his own, sparking a lifelong passion for the outdoors and sports. That passion led him to West Virginia University, where he earned a degree in Recreation and Parks Management.
Following college, Daniel attended hunting guide school in Montana and began guiding elk hunts. After marrying his wife, Heather, he continued guiding while also completing taxidermy school. The couple later moved to Pike County, Illinois, where Daniel expanded his guiding experience.
A pivotal moment came when Daniel met Jeff Danker, marking the beginning of his journey with Buckventures Outdoors. Their friendship evolved into a professional partnership, with Daniel joining the Buckventures Pro-Staff. Today, he serves as both land manager and Co-Host for Buckventures, blending his deep outdoor expertise with a commitment to land stewardship and storytelling.
Daniel and Heather are proud parents to their son, Greyson, and daughter, Everley.
